John M. Krambeer
Mr. John Krambeer is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Camden Capital. As Chair of Camden Capital's investment strategy team, he is actively involved in managing client relationships and overseeing the investment management process, including manager selection and review.
Mr. Krambeer has extensive experience in providing wealthy families with strategic investment advice, including portfolio design and creation along with oversight of investment partnerships. Mr. Krambeer has spent his career working with both traditional and alternative investment managers, evaluating asset allocation strategies, managing long-term equity portfolios and implementing options strategies for large concentrated stock positions.
Prior to forming Camden Capital, Mr. Krambeer spent 16 years at Merrill Lynch, where he and his wealth management team built the firm’s largest Private Banking and Investment Group.
Mr. Krambeer serves as a Trustee for the Autry National Center, is a member of the Advisory Board of FrontRange Capital Partners and Saybrook Fund VI and is active in the community supporting various philanthropic organizations. Mr. Krambeer was an inaugural member of the Schwab Institutional Advisory Council for Advisors Turning Independent (ATI) - an sounding board for firms transitioning to independence in the ever-changing wealth management industry. Mr. Krambeer received a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Woodbury University.
Gary T. Nicklaus
Mr. Gary Nicklaus is Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Nicklaus Companies ("Nicklaus"). Nicklaus is an innovative global organization that has been investing throughout the world for decades, including spending the last 25+ years transacting business in China. Mr. Nicklaus is a member of the Board of Directors of companies in numerous sectors including Medical Technology, Cloud Computing, NearShore Technology and Camden Capital.
From 1991 through 2002 Mr. Nicklaus played golf professionally on both the PGA and European Tours. Mr. Nicklaus is an accomplished golf course designer, with courses throughout the United States and abroad, including Wales, Mexico and Spain.
Mr. Nicklaus is Co-Chairman of the Children’s Healthcare Charity, Inc., a non-profit organization and primary beneficiary of the Honda Classic, a premier PGA Tour event. Mr. Nicklaus received a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, with a Major in Finance, from The Ohio State University.
Jack W. Nicklaus
One of the greatest and most successful golf players of all time, Jack W. Nicklaus is the only player to complete his career 'Grand Slam' on both regular and senior tours. With a total of 118 professional tournament victories to his credit, he also has a record of 18 major championship titles, which include six Masters, five PGA Championships, four U.S. Opens and three British Opens.
Mr. Nicklaus is the founder and host of 'The Memorial Tournament' and a talented golf course designer. He has received numerous awards for his designs and runs one of the largest golf design practices in the world. He is also a proficient writer and has authored many books including the popular publication 'Golf My Way', a book with instructions on golf and also an autobiography 'My Story'.
Apart from his other skill sets, he is also a successful businessman as co-Chairman of the Nicklaus companies, a chain of privately held businesses. Jack and his wife Barbara have a long history of philanthropy and involvement in numerous charitable activities. They are parents to five children and have 22 grandchildren.
John R. Purcell
Mr. Purcell is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Grenadier Associates Ltd., a merchant banking and financial advisory firm. Mr. Purcell serves as a director of Omnicom Group (NYSE - OMC) where he serves as Chairman of the Governance Committee and is a member of the Finance and Executive Committees.
Mr. Purcell formerly served as Chief Executive Officer of SFN Cos. Inc., Executive Vice President and COO of CBS, Inc., Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Gannett Co., Inc. and as Chairman of Donnelley Marketing, Inc.
Mr. Purcell is also a member of the Board of Directors of Armada Cloud, NearShore Technology and Camden Capital. Mr. Purcell received a Doctorate in Law from the University of Virginia.
Merlin E. Robertson
Mr. Merlin Robertson spent his profession working with global investment management companies in the high- to ultra-high net worth space.
He held distinguished positions at Merrill Lynch, Eastman Dillon, Winthrop, Trust Company of the West and Capital Guardian Trust. While at Capital Guardian Trust, Mr. Robertson was in charge of marketing and institutional sales throughout the Midwestern region with clients such as Notre Dame, University of Chicago and John Deere.
He was the President of the Los Angeles Bond Club and is a graduate of the University of Southern California with a B.S. in Finance.
